The mental warfare this episode was hilarious, I was loving how Raeliana was standing her ground against Vivian it was such a pleasure to watch. The way she called her old-fashioned was a great critical hit, Vivian looked so offended.

Then Nick coming in as support and pulling the aggro towards him made it even better "Ah, bitchoo!" was freaking hilarious.

I was also enjoying the dance between Noah and Raeliana, their mental warfare was another pleasure to watch although different from the one with Vivian. It's funny how Noah paid back her stepping on his foot by ending the dance in an extravagant pose. He looked so satisfied when he told her she needed more practice lol.

I'm surprised Raeliana got an invitation straight away, since Lady Eriteal looked so meek I thought she wouldn't have the power to do so.

It sucks that she did end up getting kidnapped though, it doesn't seem like any hints were left and since the other four guards were in the ballroom, I don't think the kidnappers were followed at all. Then again, Noah might have been extra careful with his preparations so I guess we'll have to wait till next week to find out.

She'll have to do better than that to 1-up me! XD

Dang Noah when did you become such a chad lol

Cut the girl some slack, she's a badass partner in "crime" and beautiful too.

I think her remark went a bit further than simply calling her old fashioned, she remarked 'Older generations' basically she called her old lol

lol...in a nice way hahaha

Grandpa Lampshade • 1 year ago

I have a feeling the invite to the ladies' social club wasn't Noah's real reason to have her approach that noble's wife. I think Noah basically used Raeliana as bait. You'll notice the timid grey hair girl acted like it wasn't exactly a big deal that Raeliana wanted to join, in fact saying that a lot of the women present at at the ball were members.

Syed MH • 1 year ago

Yeah may be it was to expose Brook’s Family cuz’ they were trying to assassinate her as per our MC doubt.
It seems like that was the reason Noah bring 4 additional knights as well.

XDD

Eldershield • 2 months ago

yeah, and maybe we'll see how raeliana acts in situations like this

Fortress • 1 year ago

Just why do the people behind this Brooks guy want her so badly though? I could understand that the reason before was getting their hands on the McMillan's company but through kidnapping they could mostly get ransom. I don't think that's it though and since they killed Raeliana before it wasn't the motive of love either. We will have to wait and I hate waiting.

QuadL • 11 months ago

Oil, her father is on the cusp of becoming an oil baron remember? It's why he was given the noble title right?

Fortress • 11 months ago

To get a constant supply of that, they would need to keep her though which would be unlikely to work. At most they could blackmail one serving of oil out of all of it. Not really worth it since they would be hunted for live for that. Marriage would have been the only constant connection they could have imparted even with the wife dead but without it... Perhaps I am a bit slow on the uptake here?

Judgment526 • 1 year ago

Oh, are we getting a villainess character who will actually be a villainess for once? xD

Ohms Nuttachai • 1 year ago

I still believe she will end up being a quite decent girl like the other
villainesses we had lol

Nan Demo K(Nai)ves • 1 year ago

She'll just need to be put in her place first lol.

Dazed • 1 year ago

Do the villainess's always get redeemed? :)

Judgment526 • 1 year ago

It’s just that lately there’s been a trend of anime/manga/LN featuring villainesses that aren’t really “villainesses” at all, just simply kindhearted but misunderstood individuals. That, or characters simply at odds with the designated protagonist for actual legitimate reasons (this has become very common with shows set in otome game universes lately).

Dazed • 1 year ago

Right, lately it's popular to make the villainess from an 'otome game' or 'light novel' the protagonist by having someone else isekai inside their body.

But that technically means they were villains before someone completely different possessed their body. :)

Judgment526 • 1 year ago

That’s not what I mean though. I’m talking about shows like Mobuseka and Tsundere Akuyaku Reijou where the original designated villainess characters aren’t bad to begin with.

Dazed • 1 year ago

News to me then.

Jacman99 • 11 months ago

Been drinking a bit tn so pardon me, but I feel like we're homies now and I couldn't shake the feeling of what would happen if all of a sudden you stopped posting one day. Would u happen to have a Discord user ID I could add or something? Otherwise, any underrated ongoing animes you'd suggest rn? I almost missed the gem named "Oshi no Ko"...

Porthya • 1 year ago

To be fair, even in plenty of those stories where the original villainess ends up being possessed or becoming the "meat-suit" of an isekaid woman/girl, once the reasons for which she was declared villainess, exiled and or executed get revealed, onlookers like us, the readers/viewers and even the new girl can spot genuine, legitimate reasons for the host to react poorly, such as the otoge heroine was blatantly throwing herself at her fiancé, or refusing to learn the expected etiquette of ladies at Court and landing the villainess in unpleasant situations, or playing the victim in many situations to earn sympathy and so on.
The Endo & Kobayashi series already looks like a parody with the situations and misunderstandings it lampshades, sourced by other such poorly written villainess plotlines.
Nvm, Judgement already gave Tsundere Akuyaku as an example.

Dazed • 1 year ago

They would after all not put the protagonist in a completely depraved "meat-suit". The "meat-suit" needs to be redeemable. You're right about that!

Porthya • 1 year ago

No, they do put isekaid girls in those too, with the FLs on an emergency run to fix their host's rep in order to survive, what I meant is that there are a lot of poorly kicked off isekai stories where the motivations of the "villainess" for "mistreating" the "heroine" should actually be perfectly understandable to her aristocratic environment as well.

QuadL • 11 months ago

I'm sure we have a number of readers who want to be surrounded by some of that meat-suit...

QuadL • 11 months ago

I'm sure there are a number of readers who like to be in her body...

Vivian Shamal uses Sacrasm
It's not effective!
My girl Raelina countered those attacks like a pro. She must have built her mental fortitude from surfing the net in her past life.

Now I understand why Noah increased the number of the royal guards (partly might be because he wanted to keep Raeli in check, though). But that was careless of Raelina to leave only one female knight guarding them knowing that she was being targetted.

Another week. Another easy paycheck for Adam's VA.

Nan Demo K(Nai)ves • 1 year ago

The men should have stayed outside the room, the girls would get their privacy and the bodyguards would be able to do their job.

Anime & Rutabagas • 1 year ago

Yeah that makes sense but ofc the plot wouldn’t allow that lol

Porthya • 1 year ago

But that's when the plot goes downhill, when you clearly write and draw resources in and also very clearly missuse them.

This! It's enraging! First they make clever female protagonists and then they put them in situations that - in the way they are designed - would have only been produced by an idiot. Excuse you? Up your writing skills please!

QuadL • 11 months ago

But, the Duke may have foreseen the attack and was expecting to catch the kidnappers AND their secretive "employer" which would require the MC to be kidnapped to the kingpin's lair. He just neglected to inform the MC since he doesn't trust her acting skills.

I wanted to hear Noah say "As her fiancée I get the first dance.". Feels like a missed opportunity.

Noah Winns-Cromer • 1 year ago

Which Noah are you referring to? XD

Nan Demo K(Nai)ves • 1 year ago

I'll leave that to your imagination.

Darlatteyy (datte) • 1 year ago

Exactly. Noah missed that chance fr

Frankly, that was such bad plot writing. Noone in their right mind goes and asks for the first dance before the couple has danced together OR both at least have seperated OR one of both is notorious for not dancing. Putting that scene AFTER the first dance is the only way it would have made any sense
